8th drawing to be deleted on me.

Tue Jul 3, 2012, 12:29 PM
Yeah so my Makorra piece "Thank You" was just deleted for "underage nudity" even though NOTHING WAS SHOWN, bringing this to a grand total of seven of my drawings being deleted. If anyone's interested, it and every other one that was deleted is on my tumblr. --> senbo-sencho.tumblr.com/post/2… LAWLS.

EDIT: Drawing deleted for the 2nd time. Awesome. -->senbo-sencho.tumblr.com/post/6… </edit>

In other news, Makorra Week is in 2 weeks and I haven't done jack. AWESOME. Hahahaha... OTL

I believe I have an argument for that.
Besides the fact that Korra is a fictional character from a fictional world, that of which does not abide by all the rules and laws of the real world, the era of the bending world takes place circa the 1920's. If we were to compare the bending world to the real world, say the United States, around the 1920's, then we would see that the average age of consent in the United States was lower in the 1920's than it is now, about 16.77 or 17 years of age at the time. Back then, 16 years of age was the most occuring age of consent in the laws of the 1920's. In comparing the eras of both worlds, we see that if Korra was 17 years of age during that time frame, then her actions are in accordance to the laws during that era, so she was old enough to consent to sexual activity. This means that "underage nudity" or underage sex, in the case of laws and standards during the 1920's, does not apply to the content your artwork and therefore should be returned.
Subpoint: In much of the United States the age of consent is determined by state or region, so depending on where you are the consenting age could be anywhere from 16-18 years of age. Since it is not clear as to which laws apply and to which regions they apply to in the bending world, we can't assume that they will follow the same exact laws as we do in this era.
Here is where I got my information from:
[link] I took the average from the numbers available in the United States during the 1920's and came up with an average of 16.77 years of age. Anyway it was below 18.

This was a bit long-winded and a little unnecessary considering the milder content of the piece when compared to the more explicit works out there but that's most legal way I can think of for Deviantart allowing you repost your deleted art. I had another point I wanted to use but it probably would not have helped considering where you live and the laws there. If you haven't noticed yet I like using abstract legal reasoning when I am explaining a point. :)

I went back to see your tumblr page where you have your deleted artwork (I was mostly looking at Sokka though ;)). I read up on the deviantart policies and it says that nudity is allowed as long as it's not displayed in a pornagraphic manner and/or underage. Since the picture does not contain any of the criteria considered pornographic listed here [link] then the issue must be with the age of the model. Again I bring up the issue that the avatar world is like a historic version of our own where laws back then were different from those now. Although this should not be an issue now because we have officially seen Sokka portrayed as an older man so the age of the model is irrelivant which means the artwork can be reposted.
...yep this sounds like a justified arguement for getting at least one of your pictures back. :iconderpinaplz:

I've seen some "Underage Nudity" that have gotten away with it. Has someone been reporting your artwork specifically, or is it found by various admins?
Other than that, it's a really good piece, and I'm sad it didn't get to stay up D:

ok... like seriously wtf. It's the human body, what the hell is wrong with that pic? Nothing! That's what...
I mean I see no difference with the pic currently deleted and something like this [link] It's like unless you say its an anatomy study, it's clearly pornographic or something. -n-
I mean really....

For God's Fuck! Why people would want to delete so many drawings?! Are they the sons of the Holy Inquisition or something?
